CJLA Girls Story: Brook Jennings

Hey CJLA Girls! We have another fun CJLA Girls Story to share with you today. We had the pleasure of interviewing Brook Jennings. We got to learn all about her capsule, her lifestyle and why she loves CJLA so much. You can find her full interview below. Enjoy!

CJLA: Tell us about yourself!

BROOK: My name is Brook Jennings. I live in Nashville Tennessee where I work as a sales consultant for the 2^nd largest homebuilder in the state. It is SO fun and I find it an absolute honor to get to help someone with the purchase of either their 1^st home, their move-up home or their final home. It is a true joy! I am married to an amazing man named Christian. We have been together for 10 years and married for 7 of those. We have 3 beautiful daughters- Kyleigh, Remington and Elliot! Life with them is so fun! We love doing any and all things outdoors. We have a jeep we love to take the top off and drive into the mountains and just explore! One fun fact about me that I am super proud of is that I am the first person in my family to graduate from college. Growing up both of my parents suffered from drug addiction and when I was a teenager, I knew I had a decision to make. I could feel sorry for myself and my circumstances or I could change the trajectory of my family tree. I got my first job at 15. I saved up for my first car and kept moving upward and onward from there!

CJLA: How did you find CJLA?

BROOK: I discovered CJLA one day on Instagram as I was watching Alyssa Joy Bethke’s story where she was doing a try-on. I knew she wouldn’t recommend anything she didn’t absolutely love so I went to the CJLA website and bought my first piece and never looked back!

CJLA: CJLA is more than clothes, it's a community! Why do you love being a member of the CJLA community?

BROOK: When I first started investing in CJLA, I had no idea that I wasn’t only investing in a new wardrobe but also in a community of some of the sweetest souls ever! Everyone is so encouraging! It is like an online cheer squad of women who literally just compliment and empower each other! You can’t post a pic in your CJLA pieces without the tribe liking, commenting and telling you how fab you look and just bulldozing over any insecurity you may have internally had.

CJLA: What are your three all-time favorite CJLA capsule pieces?

BROOK: For my 3 all-time favorite pieces, the first would be the Eden tank! I have every color it is made in and will wear one, one day with a blazer at work, wear another the next day with athletic shorts and tennis shoes and will wear the other to bed with my PJ pants. I am OBSESSED! My second favorite piece would be the Laurel dress! It is just pure magic because you can wear it with a sweater over it for a skirt look in the winter with booties or heels, you can wear it to the beach in the summer because it is so light and breezy it or you can make it casual with a jean jacket! My 3^rd favorite piece would be the Jaxon Mules because I wear them every single day of my life, haha!

CJLA: Why does the capsule concept work for you and your lifestyle?

BROOK: The capsule lifestyle is so great because before I found CJLA, it was all about quantity. I had a million pieces but nothing really meshed together and I was overwhelmed by my closet which made getting ready every day tough. With CJLA, I have been able to donate my previous closet and have all these core staple pieces that all mix and match and flow together. A capsule makes travel so easy and also makes getting ready a breeze. I can wear the same few pieces in a week but styled differently they look like an entirely new outfit.

CJLA: How has having a capsule wardrobe helped to simplify your life?

BROOK: CJLA is great for work and for fun! I can dress up an outfit for work with heels and a chunky necklace but then I can take that same look and throw on a River or Hunter jacket and add sneakers and bam! It’s a totally casual look. Once you build your capsule and have those staple pieces, you save so much energy in putting together a different outfit for every occasion because you can style the same pieces in SO many ways!

CJLA: What is your favorite CJLA piece to style?

BROOK: My favorite piece to style would be the Cassie Cropped Fitted Tee. I have it in both colors and I love wearing the white with any CJLA high waisted jeans and platform sneakers and a hat, but then I also love wearing the black with black jeans and a fun patterned blazer! It's also fun to style with a printed skirt or high waisted shorts. I just love it so much!

CJLA: If you had to describe CJLA to a friend using only three words what would they be?

BROOK: My 3 words used to describe CJLA would be: Community, Fashion and Lifestyle!
