CJLA Girls Stories: Becca Hoffman

Hi CJLA Girls! Today we are so excited to share our first CJLA Girls Stories interview! We were lucky enough to chat with our amazing friend and CJLA Girls, Becca Hoffman! Becca, thank you so much for taking time to share your story with us. We are so grateful to have you as a member of the CJLA community!

CJLA: Tell us about yourself!

BECCA: My name is Becca, I am 37 and live in Northern California, born and raised. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years and we have two daughters, Adi (11) and Claire (8.) When I'm not busy being a wife and mom, I work part-time at our church. Something that might surprise you about me is I love NASCAR (the speed, the energy, the smells, the people... all of it!) As a family, we follow if throughout the year and have visited many tracks across the U.S. As my kids are getting older and more self- sufficient, I have discovered I have a little more "me" time. Recently, that has been filled with all things beauty. I use Instagram as my creative outlet. I love doing makeup tutorials and try-ons. 

CJLA: How did you find CJLA?

BECCA: I discovered CJLA about two years ago on Candace Bure's Instagram. She was raving about this top she was wearing so I thought I would check it out. The first pieces I ever ordered from CJLA were the Sailor Kimono and a Basic Tee... I was so impressed by the fabric and overall quality and how I FELT WEARING THEM (confidence and motivation).... the rest is history. I rarely wear anything other than CJLA now.

CJLA: Carly Jean Los Angeles is more than clothes, it's a community! Why do you love being a member of the CJLA community?

BECCA: This is so true!! It's so much more than clothes! When I first started wearing CJLA I was not aware of this unbelievably supportive and encouraging community. It's been such an unexpected blessing. Not only did I get helpful sizing advice on pieces I was eyeing, I also found like-minded women who radiate positivity, support you with your current life struggles and relate with you in countless other ways. I've learned so much by being a part of this community and appreciate the many friends I have made because of it. CJLA is incredibly generous and I feel like I'm given opportunities to help serve and support in areas I would have never known about. 

CJLA: What are your three all-time favorite CJLA capsule pieces?

BECCA: Three?! That's tough because they are all so good. But I guess I would have to say the Sailor Kimono, Rhea Sweater and the Chrissy Jeans.

CJLA: Why does the capsule concept work for you and your lifestyle?

BECCA: The capsule concept works well for me because it makes getting dressed easy and fun! As a mom, I do not have a ton of time in the morning (getting kids ready and out the door, etc. etc.) and when I know that my closet is filled with clothes that all match and make me feel good, it's just one less thing to think about.

CJLA: How has having a capsule wardrobe helped to simplify your life?

BECCA: I see the biggest different when packing for vacation. The pieces are versatile and travel well. I've got this 6x6 capsule down!

CJLA: What is your favorite CJLA piece to style?

BECCA: Hunter Jacket. On repeat. All day, every day!

CJLA: If you had to describe CJLA to a friend using only three words what would they be?

BECCA: Three?! Again, with the three! So tough to say in only three words because I could talk for days about CJLA.... but I would have to say: comfy, stylish, versatile.
