Really cute dress
"This dress is adorable on. I received so many compliments. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is very tight around the chest. I exchanged a small for a medium and still struggle to get it zipped up the side. But it is very flattering, so I'm keeping it. Maybe adding more elastic in the back would help accommodate different rib cage sizes."
Really tight across the chest
"I bought this dress in blue and brown because I just love the fabric, style and thought they would be perfect for Sundays, with a little shell to cover my arms. I waited for the xtra large to come out instead of buying them in the first release that only went to large. I wear XL in the tops I have purchased from CJLA and they fit. I am so very sad that they don’t fit. They are incredibly tight across my chest. I think it may be because the smocking is only about a third of the way across the back. I feel like if it was all the way across the back from side seam to side seam, that it would have fit. It just didn’t have enough give and my chest looks like it is sausaged into it. LOL! Hopefully on my continued weight loss journey I will be able to fit into them before the summer is out."

No Need to Size Up
"I sized up based on other reviews and it turned out to be unnecessary. The top was so big I needed to shorten the straps to compensate. My regular size (M) would have been just fine! Still a beautiful and flattering dress. Wore it for spring family photos and loved the maxi length! My husband said it is his new favorite. I'm 5'6" 140lbs for reference"

Top too small
"This dress was visually stunning, but had to return due to size. I could not actually get in the dress which was very interesting because the bottom fit perfectly. The top was almost too small for the bottom part and it was very flimsy. I’m typically a size small and definitely would need to size up in this one. The smocked detail was so deceiving because I assumed there would be some stretch, but there was absolutely none. The smocked part was just for show and was not functional. I was so disappointed because there was so much hype around this piece."
The top is SO SMALL
"First of all this dress IS lovely… but I had to send it back. The top is so dang small I couldn’t even zip it up. I’ve been a CJLA medium for a decade and sometimes I even buy small and I cannot even get close to zipping this up…. So sad 😭"
